Use Claude Code with FriendliAI

If you haven't already, install Claude Code.

If you need a new API key, create one.

1. Open your ~/.claude/settings.json file.
2. Add the following to the file:

       "ANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKEN": "<FRIENDLIAI_API_KEY>",
       "ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL": "https://api.friendli.ai/serverless",
       "ANTHROPIC_DEFAULT_HAIKU_MODEL": "<FRIENDLIAI_MODEL_ID>"
     },
     "model": "<FRIENDLIAI_MODEL_ID>"
   }
   

   Replace the following placeholders:
   • <FRIENDLIAI_API_KEY>: Your FriendliAI API key.
   • <FRIENDLIAI_MODEL_ID>: The FriendliAI model ID. For example, zai-org/GLM-5.3.
3. Save your file.

Open your agent and send a prompt. For example, use the following prompt:
