Training method
- Simulator reinforcement learning: a compact policy completes 40 imitation months followed by 1,440 simulated PPO months. This policy becomes the teacher.
- Decision dataset: for each decision, the simulator changes one option at a time and replays the remainder of the month to score every option.
- Supervised fine-tuning: Qwen learns the highest-scoring option for daytime decisions and the teacher action for morning decisions.
- Reinforcement learning: the model increases the probability of above-average options and decreases the probability of below-average options, with a KL penalty that keeps it close to the supervised model.
Company profile: general
Dataset counts: {"train": 4082, "valid": 832, "test": 840}
SFT training examples after filtering ambiguous daytime decisions: 3174. RL training examples per candidate: 1500.
Evaluation
Table with columns: Model stage, All-test accuracy, All-test regret, RL-only accuracy, RL-only regret, Monthly profit (KRW 10,000), Real card transactions: loss avoided| Model stage | All-test accuracy | All-test regret | RL-only accuracy | RL-only regret | Monthly profit (KRW 10,000) | Real card transactions: loss avoided |
|---|
| Qwen before training | 29.8% | 2.66 | — | — | — | — |
| Supervised fine-tuning | 75.8% | 2.09 | 74.0% | 0.73 | — | — |

Metric guide: Higher accuracy is better; RL-only covers daytime decisions. Regret is the average score lost versus the best option (lower is better). KL beta controls the penalty for moving away from SFT. Profit is in KRW 10,000.
Selected RL trial: baseline (steps=100, learning rate=5e-06, beta=0.2). Validation target met: yes.
RL candidate comparison and selection
Three independent RL runs share the SFT adapter, 1,500-example subset, batch size 8, and seed 0. Their 100, 200, and 300 steps total 600 across candidates.
Table with columns: Candidate, Steps, Learning rate, KL beta| Candidate | Steps | Learning rate | KL beta |
|---|
| Baseline (selected) | 100 | 5e-06 | 0.2 |
| Balanced | 200 | 3e-06 | 0.2 |
| Conservative long | 300 | 3e-06 | 0.3 |
Validation results (832 overall questions; 712 RL-only daytime questions):
Table with columns: Model / candidate, Overall accuracy, RL-only accuracy| Model / candidate | Overall accuracy | RL-only accuracy |
|---|
| SFT reference | 74.40% | 72.33% |
| Baseline (selected) | 76.56% | 74.86% |
| Balanced | 76.08% | 74.30% |
| Conservative long | 75.96% | 74.16% |
Eligibility: exceed SFT overall validation accuracy without reducing RL-only accuracy. Ranking: overall validation accuracy, then lower RL-only regret, then lower overall regret. All three qualified; Baseline ranked first. Selection excluded test results and operating profit; only the selected RL candidate was tested. Small validation gaps and one training seed do not establish superiority across seeds or in operating profit.
Full records: candidate scores and selection, test and operating results, and execution environment.
Reproducibility: archive, SHA-256, and notes.
The main table reports held-out test and operating results; the candidate tables report validation results. Operation covers two unseen months—an initial estimate, not a production guarantee.

Pass a Korean company decision object containing state, question, and labeled options to choose_option. The reported evaluations use restricted option-letter scoring with thinking disabled. Install compatible causal-conv1d and fla-core kernels for faster CUDA inference; tested versions are recorded in training_environment.json.
