Examples
Each row shows an actual model output. Red marks what the model removes. Green marks what it adds or changes.

Languages
The model works best in English. It also supports German, Spanish, French, Chinese, Russian and Japanese, but the quality in these languages is lower. It is not trained for other languages.
Provide plain text as key: value lines, followed by the line out:. Use the keys in the order shown below and omit the keys you do not need. Only text is required. The model writes the clean text and the end-of-text token.
Table with columns: Key, Value| Key | Value |
|---|
app | The app that gets the text, for example Slack or Mail |
site | The host of the web page, when the app is a browser |
tone | formal, casual or very casual. If omitted, the model follows the tone of the text before the cursor |
before |
tone: very casualtext: Thanks for the update. I will take a look after lunch.out:
The answer is thanks for the update. i will take a look after lunch. With tone: casual the answer is Thanks for the update. I will take a look after lunch, with tone: formal it keeps the final period. Tone changes capital letters and the final period, but not the words.
With before: I think we should and text: ship it today the tests are green, the answer continues the text: ship it today. The tests are green.

How to use
The model works inside Spokenly on Mac, Windows and Linux. On the Mac, open Settings > Text Handling > Local Model Cleanup. On Windows and Linux, open Settings > Behavior > Local Model Cleanup. Switch on Clean up text with local model. Spokenly downloads the model once. See the documentation.
Training data
Most training examples are sentences generated by language models for this task, with simulated speech patterns: filler words, repeats, spoken corrections, numbers in words and spoken addresses. The rest comes from public datasets, including FLEURS, SWE-chat, FineWeb, Tatoeba, VoxPopuli and OpenSubtitles.
